My name is Amaya, rhymes with papaya. I’m born and raised in Brooklyn, I grew up in a mainly Puerto Rican neighborhood which kept me close with my roots. My culture and where I’m from shapes a big part of my identity, from the music i play on repeat to the food I eat on repeat, it is all connected. I’m now a freshman at CCNY majoring in biology pre-med, but I’m still figuring out what path is right for me.
